Tech Play 3: Creativity Tools

Instruction:

For the Tech Play 3 Assignment, you will explore creativity tools. We are defining a creativity tool as anything that allows a student to create or produce something. These are not necessarily tools that are associated with the fine arts type of creativity, although those tools are certainly fine if you are teaching art! These are also not tools that are typically associated with productivity as we are not necessarily concerned with efficiency. These are tools that students use to create something digital and shareable.

My Reflection Prompt:

As we know creativity is come from the generation of new ideas. To create new things in a different manner. Find an answer when others can’t see the answer or solution to a problem.

Creativity tools is at its name “tools” to put in place the creativity and develop ideas from the concept to the practice.

To present projects per example we have many choices of creativity tools. To present audio and visual thank you to the internet and many companies developing software to bring easy and friendly to the user tools, anybody can create at the comfort of their home about anything.

Using inclusive resources as: Things, GooglePlus, Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, Instagram, Pinterest, Flickr, Vimeo, Linkedln and others not so popular to present projects, portfolios and create a virtual meeting and discussions panels.

Examples of Creative tools online:

Which one I like:

This example below is Flickr. I am familiar using Flickr, but not as sophisticate to create a 3D picture. I think is a great idea to learn how to use creativity tools in our time because we are connected daily with computers, internet and technology. It is important if we can master creativity tools to present our class to the students to develop in the student curiosity and the students can develop their own creativity.
What I like from Flickr is the easy and friendly user from the sign up to the download pictures and presenting. Flickr is under Yahoo platform and if the person have a yahoo mail it is very easy to sign in and use it. The class can create a group project presentation where everybody can post the same day.

Which one I dislike:

I didn’t like this web site to much because it is so confuse. Is not going to the point and what the user can do. It is too abstract. Is my personal opinion. Maybe other person likes this one and find out to use it. It is divider by several creative tools, contain definition and explanation of each one and how to use, but I think is too theory and less practice.

The Technology I selected supporting the TPACK model:

Considering the tool Flickr as the creativity tool I will use in my classroom I believe Flickr support the learning creativity environment. Using the TPACK model which is pedagogy, content and technology. Pedagogy because the teacher lead the directions to use Flickr and give the instructions for a project. The class can create a group project presentation where everybody can post the same day and reply to their peers while everybody is connected. The content, objectives and goals of a presentation or project can be clearly established using Flickr, and in the technology; the technological affordances reach each students. Either the students owns a computer or use the computer at the library, Flickr is a free creativity tool.
